  • Course design: Latinx/e Creative Writing: Home & Identity.  
  • Courses taught: Spanish for Business, Spanish in the Community, Spanish for UMD Supervisors, Intensive Spanish, Reading and Writing in Spanish and Spanish Grammar Review.  
  • Event organizer: Latine Wellness Week & El Gran Combo panel.

George Washington University                                                                             Washington, DC

  • Courses taught and designed: Body & Language at the Borderlands, Contemporary Latin American Feminisms, Creative Narrative Structures in Latin America, Texts/Contexts in the Spanish Speaking World, and Cinema of Spain and Latin America.

About

Ofelia Montelongo is a bilingual writer from Mexico. She has an MBA in Strategic Leadership & an MA in Latin American Literature. Her work has been published in The Rumpus, Latino Book Review, Los Acentos Review, and elsewhere. She is the editor of the Latine Monsters issue at Barrelhouse. She currently teaches at the University of Maryland and she is a PEN/Faulkner writer in residence, a Macondista & a PEN America Emerging Voices Fellow.
